Karen Carli, associate coordinator and internship counselor at the Penn State Abington Center for Career & Professional Development, advises a student during the annual Spring Career Expo. About 100 firms turned out, seeking employees and interns.
Meet Nick DeRosa, a senior studying Psychological and Social Sciences who transferred to Penn State Abington. "I found myself at a crossroads during my college career, I wasn't satisfied with my experience thus far and began to look elsewhere. Then I found Penn State Abington, and from there the transfer admissions helped me realize Abington was the place I need to call home. My favorite part about the campus is how willing all of the faculty and staff are to help you. I never feel like I can't find help when I need it, which is a great feeling for a college student."
Meet Lily Goldberg, sophomore Kinesiology major. "After leaving my old university I decided to take a semester off to focus on finding out how I am going to complete my college education. I considered a variety of options, however, Penn State was always in the back of my mind. Abington has helped me realize who I want to be in the future and who I am currently as a person. In my short two years at Abington, I have already made connections with professors, advisers, and peers who I am confident will help me get to the career path I seek".
